Marie Antoinette
One of the Influences in this design is Marie Antoinette. She was well known for her lavish spending and being the last Queen of France before the French Revolution. There have been several movies, documentaries and biographies written about her, some of which were used in the research process of this collection.
Delft Pottery
The other influence in this design is blue and white pottery known as Delft. This pottery is named Delft after the city of Delft in the Netherlands where it was made around since the 16th century, and continues to be a big part of Dutch Tradition.
